AGX Orin LVDS, HDMI & Dual MIPI CSI-2 Bridge Board

A single-board camera integration platform built for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, engineered to bring every major camera interface — LVDS, HDMI and two native MIPI CSI-2 — onto one design, making full use of all four 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 interfaces the AGX Orin has to offer.

At its core, the board bridges LVDS and HDMI camera video output into 4-lane MIPI CSI-2, giving system integrators a direct path to connect industry-standard block cameras without custom bridging hardware of their own. Each of these interfaces has a dedicated I²C-to-UART bridge (3.3V CMOS) for VISCA control, with an onboard UART connector available for external camera control when needed. Rounding out the interface set, a two native 22-pin, 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 pass-through connector supports direct integration of MIPI sensors, for applications that don't need format conversion at all.

Built for demanding environments, the board runs on a wide-range 12–24V DC input, with reverse-voltage and transient-voltage protection guarding against field power faults, and power-status LEDs for at-a-glance diagnostics. Its compact 84.87 mm × 61.95 mm footprint and 33.4g weight suit space-constrained embedded enclosures, while a –20°C to +85°C operating range and RoHS compliance support deployment across industrial, defense, and outdoor vision systems.

Ideal for multi-sensor embedded vision systems, UAV and defense payloads, and industrial camera integration projects requiring flexible support for LVDS, HDMI and two native MIPI camera sources on a single Jetson AGX Orin platform.

FAQs

How is this board different from the AGX Orin MIPI CSI-2 Bridge Board (FC-AGX-LGHM)?

Both boards populate all four 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 ports on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin. The FC-AGX-LHMM replaces the 2-channel GMSL port with a second native 22-pin MIPI CSI-2 connector, giving one LVDS–MIPI port, one HDMI–MIPI port and two native MIPI CSI-2 ports.

How does the board connect to the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin?

It mates with the Jetson AGX Orin camera expansion connector — a 120-pin Samtec QTH-060 series connector carrying four 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 links. Each of the four camera ports is routed to its own independent 4-lane link across that connector.

Which cameras can I connect to each port?

Port 1 (LVDS–MIPI) is validated with Sony FCB-EV9520L/EV9500L, Tamron MP3010M-EV, KT&C ATC-HZ5540T-LP and Videology 24Z2.1W-10XLVDS-462. Port 2 (HDMI–MIPI) is validated with Sony FCB-ER9500, FCB-ER8530 and FCB-EW9500H. Ports 3 and 4 are 22-pin, 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 connectors for any native MIPI camera or sensor module, pinout compatible with the AstrOptix Orin Super Carrier, Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit and Raspberry Pi 5.

How is camera control (zoom, focus, exposure) handled?

The LVDS and HDMI ports each have an onboard I²C-to-UART bridge (3.3 V CMOS), so VISCA commands for zoom, focus and exposure can be sent directly from the Jetson AGX Orin host. Each port also has an independent camera power switch and an onboard UART connector for external camera control. The native MIPI ports expose I²C directly to the sensor through the board's I²C multiplexers.

What power supply does the board need?

The board accepts a wide 12–24 V DC regulated input through a Molex Micro-Lock Plus 2-pin connector, with reverse-voltage and transient-voltage protection. A 12 V / 3 A regulated supply is recommended.

What is included in the kit?

The standard package contains the bridge board, a crimped 2-pin DC power cable and a digital copy of the product datasheet. A 30-pin micro-coaxial cable, a 22-pin MIPI CSI-2 FPC cable and camera mounting hardware are available as optional accessories. Contact Oppila at info@oppila.in for pricing and custom requirements.
