The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano/NX Carrier Board is a versatile platform designed to support the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX System-on-Module (SOM). It offers a wide range of connectivity options and features to meet various application needs.
Designed for industrial automation, robotics, and smart city applications, this carrier board features a robust set of I/O interfaces including Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.1, and dedicated camera connectors. Its industrial-grade design ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
For camera integration, the board connects to Sony FCB camera blocks through a 30-pin KEL connector, supporting both the FCB-ER8530 4K HDMI camera and the FCB-EV9500M Full HD MIPI camera. Camera control is managed directly by the Jetson Orin Nano / Orin NX module, keeping the imaging pipeline on a single compute platform.
Networking and peripheral connectivity are handled by high-speed Gigabit Ethernet ports and four USB 3.1 Type-A ports, with an additional Micro-USB port in device mode for flashing and debugging. Local display output is provided through a stacked connector carrying HDMI™ Type A (v2.0a/b) and VESA® DisplayPort™ (v1.4).
Storage and expansion options include Micro SD card support and an M.2 Key-M slot for NVMe SSDs over a PCIe Gen4 × 4 lane, alongside an M.2 Key-E slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules over a PCIe Gen3 × 1 lane. A 40-pin (2×20) GPIO header exposes I2C, SPI, UART, I2S, GPIOs and PWMs for connecting custom peripherals and accessories.
Fan or passive cooling options let the thermal design be matched to the enclosure and duty cycle. With a 108 × 83 mm footprint, industrial-grade construction and an operating range of -40 °C to +85 °C, the board is built for reliable deployment in harsh environments.
