Raspberry Pi 5 Host Setup & Flashing
Follow these steps in sequence to flash your SD card and complete initial setup.
Warning
Data Loss: Flashing the SD card will erase all existing data on it. Back up any important data before proceeding.
Flashing Procedure
Step 1: Flash Trixie Image to Raspberry Pi
Download and open the Raspberry Pi Imager application on your host computer. Select the 64-bit Trixie (Debian 13) image and flash it to your MicroSD card. Insert the MicroSD card into the Raspberry Pi and power on.
Post-Flash Setup
Once flashing is complete:
Power off the Raspberry Pi 5 and disconnect the power cable.
Connect the camera module via LVDS-MIPI CSI-2 Bridge Board to Raspberry Pi 5.
Power on the LVDS-MIPI Bridge Board first and then power on the Raspberry Pi 5 or both at the same time.
Step 2: Complete OEM Setup
OEM Configuration Setup
On first boot, complete the OEM setup wizard. Configure the following settings:
- Username and password
- Wi-Fi network connection
- Keyboard layout
