InfinitEye AI Platform – An Introduction

By integrating the Sony FCB-EV9520L full HD camera block (featuring 30x optical zoom) and the powerful NVIDIA ORIN NX module, InfinitEye delivers real-time, high-resolution AI vision capable of detecting objects at distances up to 2 kilometers, without any external optics.

With the addition of a 2X teleconverter lens, this detection range can be extended to 4-5 kilometers, opening new possibilities in long-range surveillance and monitoring.

  • YOLOv8 for ultra-fast object detection
  • TensorFlow, PyTorch for model training and tuning
  • Jetson-Inference, DeepStream, TensorRT for accelerated inference
  • DeepSORT for multi-object tracking
  • Jetpack 5.1.2 for streamlined deployment on Jetson modules

Achievements: High-Performance Detection at 2–4 Kilometres

Using only the Sony FCB-EV9520L’s 30x zoom, InfinitEye successfully detects objects up to 2 km away, without requiring any external lenses. If an additional 2X teleconverter lens, this range can be further extended to up to 4 km detection range.

This impressive long-distance visibility was made possible by:

  • Advanced camera control for precise long-distance focusing
  • Efficient image streaming at 60 FPS
  • Low-latency processing (Less than 30 ms) on the ORIN NX platform
  • High-accuracy object detection, even at extended ranges

Our AI pipeline maintains sharp recognition, enabling applications such as border surveillance, critical infrastructure monitoring, and traffic enforcement—even from kilometers away.

Image Highlights:

  • Bird detected at 500 meters distance.

  • Bus, people inside bus, and other objects detected at 750 meters.

  • Aircraft in motion detected at 1.5 kilometre.

  • Human detected from a distance of 2 kilometres.

These Results were correlated with the location coordinates via Google Map, in order to confirm the detection distances
